SEDALIA, MO - Starline has recently released a new video for their online media content platform, known as “The Brass Facts.” In this episode, Robert Hayden, Barbara Hayden and Robert Hayden Jr. share the Starline story. It’s a story about how two friends turned an innovative idea at a Dodgers baseball game into a very successful business.
The latest video from America’s leading brass manufacturer takes viewers back to the small Quonset hut in Covina, California where Starline was founded in 1976. Starline has evolved from manufacturing a few calibers of custom-headstamped brass to manufacturing over 80 different cartridge cases with the Starline headstamp. Today, Starline operates out of a 30,000+ square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sedalia, MO.
Mr. Hayden realized that for Starline to continue to grow, they were going to have to find a niche in the marketplace. To differentiate themselves, Starline decided they would make as many different types of cartridge cases as they possibly could. Starline had an advantage over many competitors because they had the expertise to convert machines and processes quickly to meet the different requirements associated with producing so many types of cartridge cases. This video takes viewers through the development, growth, and innovation that got Starline where they are today, and it is all presented first-hand by the people that made it happen, the Hayden family.
“We’ve had a lot of people express interest in how our company got to where we are today,”
said Robert Hayden Jr., Vice-President of Starline Brass, “this video tells our story.” To
