The venerable 30-06 was adopted in 1906 for the 1903 Springfield service rifle for the U.S. Military. Since then, this utilitarian round has been chambered in an abundance of rifles in every action type. The 30-06 has been touted as one of the most versatile cartridges of all time due to the wide variety of projectiles available, and when the proper bullet is selected, the 30-06 is large enough to take on any game in the Western Hemisphere and almost anything in the Eastern Hemisphere.

**WARNING** In firearms that use a floating firing pin (such as the AR-15 and its variants), dropping the bolt on a chambered round could lead to a slam fire. It is important that these firearms are loaded from the magazine so that the bolt loses inertia when it strips a round from the magazine. It is also important NOT to use sensitive primers that aren’t designed for use in an AR, as this increases the chance of a slam fire.

We have 5 30-06s to feed. I was glad to see Starline start making 30-06 brass. Same quality I have seen from all of their other brass. Very good stuff.

Tried all makes of brass for 30-06. Mostly Garand High Power shooter. Ecstatic to find Starline makes 30-06. 308 Palma style became my favorite quickly, so had to give 30-06 a shot ASAP. Call me crazy but I like new case prep. Prepping these cases were just like the others, really not much to trim. No burrs in flash hole so just had to chamfer. Turning necks resulted in me just stopping after the 1st 20 or so. Weight between cases was above average, almost if not Lapua consistent. I can end on that note, who would run $1.25 Lapua through a Garand action? Robin Leech? Run Starline.

Second what Robert said. Consistency is fabulous as I got the same numbers. When loading with 168 SMK, 47.5 IMR 4895 and F210 primer, overall cartridge weights were from 412.7 grains to 413.2 grains, i difference of .5 grains! I cant wait to get this to the range to chrony them! Superior brass!!

Very pleased with my most recent purchase from Starline. This 30-06 brass is very consistent by weight (192.4gr +-0.5gr) and dimensions (OAL = 2.484" +- 0.001") (neck thickness = 0.013" +- 0.0005") (inner neck diameter = 0.306" +- 0.0005") At just under $0.38/piece this has to be the best deal on 30-06 brass and especially for how consistent it is. I have purchased many calibers from Starline and they have all exceeded my expectations.
